Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar, and Power Electronics. This customer-facing role will support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of solar inverter and battery storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, commission, and maintain BESS and solar inverter systems.
• Diagnose battery, inverter, SCADA, communication, and utility grid-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and prepare technical reports.
• Work closely with customers, field technicians, and engineering teams.
• Support field service activities, site visits, and repair operations.
• Collaborate with R&D and provide feedback on product improvements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company safety procedures.
• Deliver technical training to customers and internal teams as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience with a degree, or 4+ years of experience in:

• BESS / Energy Storage Systems

• Solar industry

• Power Electronics

• Field Service Engineering

• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance.

• Experience with solar inverters, battery systems, and electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, power quality analyzer, multimeter, etc.).

• Knowledge of SCADA systems and Modbus communication protocols is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred

• Experience supporting utility-scale solar or energy storage projects.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, LOTO, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Mandarin language skills are a plus.
