Descripción del puesto
Transformative American Resources (TAR)
TAR is powering intelligence for the world. We are building the world's first behind-the-meter utility for data centers, powered primarily by renewable technologies, whilst also deploying energy 10x faster than anyone else.
We just closed funding and are working directly with a leading compute provider and AI lab to build the world's first fully renewable data center. Our pipeline is 20MW in 2026, 200MW in 2027 and 4GW in 2028.
The role
The single accountable owner of project delivery. Not a coordinator - the person who gets it built. You own:
- End-to-end delivery through construction, commissioning, and energization
- EPC and subcontractor management - bids, negotiation, schedule, change orders, accountability in the field
- Procurement coordination - solar, inverters, BESS, gas gensets, BOP
- Engineering design coordination with EOR and owner's engineer
- Budget and schedule - full cost control, reporting directly to the CEO
- Site execution - most of the week on site during the build
CEO retains commercial decisions, financing, and customer relationships. Everything between those decisions and steel in the ground is yours.
Who you are
- 10+ years delivering energy or heavy industrial projects - personally, not via oversight
- EPC/construction-side background; credible walking a site, speaks subcontractor
- Commercially sharp — controls budgets, negotiates, pushes contractors without burning relationships
- Understands design, procurement, and construction as one system
- Thrives in lean teams with zero hierarchy
Independent operators and self-employed project leaders strongly encouraged. Full-time or contractor.
Preferred
- Utility-scale solar, BESS, gas gen, or microgrid construction
- Texas delivery experience and regional EPC/sub relationships
- Owner-side or EPC PD/PX roles on $50M+ projects
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
- Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
The salary range for this position is $500,000 - $650,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options. Depending on the project, we may provide a $100K COD bonus.
Not a fit: corporate middle management, business development, or "manage the managers" profiles.
Why: flagship project in the fastest-growing segment of US energy, direct line to the CEO, your playbook scales to the next gigawatt.
