The selected Project Manager will be a key addition to the team for environmental remediation and heavy civil projects nationwide. This position does require a willingness to travel, with paid flights home on an established cadence. Prior experience managing heavy civil and/or environmental projects for contract administrators like USACE is required for serious consideration. Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing projects to include: earthwork, environmental remediation, slurry wall, habitat restoration, power plants, refineries, and more.
  • Participating in monthly work in progress meetings.
  • Maintaining communications with all stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract specs.
  • Developing documents such as subcontracts, work orders, purchase orders, equipment rental agreements, letters of intent, change orders, submittals, RFIs and project billings.
  • Coordinating change orders and striving for overall margin improvement on every project.
  • Proactively identifying and escalating issues that could impact the established project budget and timeline.
  • Delegating tasks effectively and holding others accountable to achieve project milestones.
  • Helping to enforce the site safety and QC plans.
  • Helping to mentor and develop confidence in Project Engineer personnel.
  • Proactively identify training gaps with personnel, ensuring that they gain access to proper resources and supplemental training to maximize career growth potential.
  • Approving invoices for time and materials to ensure on-time payment.
  • Assisting in the collection of past due invoices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience on projects of similar size and scope
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience with earthwork projects exceeding $20M
  • Prior experience utilizing Procore Field Productivity module or similar software
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 is a PLUS
  • Demonstrated track record with RFIs and change orders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective people management skills including the ability to delegate
  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines to ensure that project milestones are achieved
  • NOTE: Degree requirement can be waived with additional years of relevant project management experience.

  • Salary 130-170k (based on experience and certifications)
