Join our dynamic team at United Solar Electric as a Solar Service and or Site Visit Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of solar energy systems through comprehensive site assessments and service visits. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy projects, perform detailed inspections, troubleshoot issues, and support installation and maintenance efforts. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing solar installations, including roof-mounted and ground-mounted systems, ensuring all components operate efficiently and safely.
• Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage circuits, adhering strictly to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to identify system configurations and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and other construction site tools to perform repairs, upgrades, or installations as needed.
• Assist with fixture installation, electrical wiring, and system commissioning to optimize system performance.
• Support construction activities on-site by coordinating with contractors and ensuring safety protocols are followed; operate forklifts when necessary for material handling.
• Document findings through detailed reports, including system condition assessments, repair recommendations, and progress updates for project teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with high voltage electrical systems and familiarity with low voltage wiring in solar or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards related to electrical installations and safety procedures.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Hands-on experience with electrical work in commercial or industrial settings; prior roofing or plumbing experience is a plus.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and construction site machinery such as forklifts.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues.
